Please review the guidelines below to prepare for your appointment and help ensure accurate results.

Please bring your Identity Card (NRIC) or Passport, as it is required for identity verification.

It is essential to have a restful sleep of at least six hours the night before, as lack of rest may impact your test results.

Fasting is required for six to eight hours prior to your check-up; refrain from eating any food during this period. However, drinking plain water is allowed and encouraged. This applies specifically to blood tests for lipid profile and fasting glucose, as well as for an abdominal ultrasound.

If you are on hypertension medication, continue taking it as usual, but diabetic medication should not be taken on the morning of your appointment.

Please bring any recent test results or medical reports to assist the doctor in understanding your medical history. Wear attire that allows easy access to your upper arm for blood collection.

  • Ultrasound Abdomen and Pelvis
For an Ultrasound Abdomen and Pelvis, a full bladder is required. Drink water and avoid emptying your bladder before the test until instructed by staff.
  • Mammogram
If you are scheduled for a Mammogram, the ideal timing is one week after menstruation to minimise breast tenderness. Avoid using powder, perfume, or deodorant on your chest and underarms. For convenience, wear loose, front-opening clothing. Bring any previous mammography films for comparison.
  • Pap Smear
If you are scheduled for a Pap Smear, the test should be done one week after the last day of menstruation. Avoid sexual intercourse, douching, and the use of tampons, vaginal creams, or spermicides for two days before the test to ensure accurate results.

Fasting should begin from 10 PM the night before, with only plain water permitted. To stay hydrated, drink at least two cups of water before arriving. Light refreshments will be provided after fasting tests are completed. If you are unwell on the day of the appointment, it is advisable to reschedule, as illness or certain medications may affect test results.

For chronic medications, such as those for hypertension or cholesterol, continue your usual dosage before the screening. However, diabetic medications should be withheld on the morning of the appointment.

Please bring any past medical reports from up to three years prior, as well as any medications or supplements you are currently taking. Identification documents, such as NRIC, passport, or a company letter, will be needed for verification and registration.

For stool analysis (stool for occult blood), collect approximately two teaspoons of stool in a clean, labelled container either the night before (after 5 PM) or on the morning of your appointment.

For urine analysis, it is best to schedule this test five days after menstruation or two weeks before menstruation to ensure accurate results.

For detailed eye screening, it is recommended to wear spectacles instead of contact lenses.

The health screening process may take from half a day to a full day, depending on the tests involved. Results and doctor/dietitian consultations are typically available on the same day, though consultations may be rescheduled if preferred. Pap smear test results will be emailed to you within ten working days, or they can be mailed upon request.
